Eric Slivinski, found his calling in his college roommate at the University of Kansas. His roommate worked for
Tropical Sno and Eric was looking to become an entrepreneur. When he saw the business model, Eric knew Tropical Sno was the business he wanted to build. There was an opportunity to open a Tropical Sno location in Phoenix so he and his midwestern-raised girlfriend, Kate, (now wife) moved across the country to start their adventure as the owners of Tropical Sno Phoenix. Their shop at 40th Street and Bell opened in 2005 and was so successful that they later opened a Glendale shop at 67th Ave and Cactus.
The two moved to Moon Valley with their three daughters in 2015 and fell in love with the community. Their kids attend the local school and the friendships they have made in the community feel like family. Eric and his crew will be at Moon Valley Country Club on August 13th for our Back to School Sno Cone Social compliments of Locality Homes and Guaranteed Rate. Tropical Sno is a great addition to community events, as they have their trucks attend some of the largest events in town including Tempe Town Lake’s 4th of July Celebration.
You can invite Tropical Sno to your next event! They have 3 mobile units, including their unique mobile stand, that can be rented for any event ranging from personal parties to community get-togethers. The trucks have 24 flavors to choose from! Eric’s favorite single flavor is Mango, but he says that the real magic happens when mixing flavors. His all-time favorite flavor mix is Ocean Pacific. This flavor, and many others, are available at the Glendale or Phoenix storefront locations where you can mix flavors to your heart’s content.
One of the things that makes Tropical Sno so popular is their true-to-life flavors. The apple tastes like apples. The banana tastes like bananas. And what makes it even better is that you can choose your favorite flavors in any combination!
